Concept
Imagination of the
bridge edges where people are
programmed to move in and out periodically integrating the existing school and surrounding context with
the Architecture School into one form. It
is materially and spatially dynamic of both natural
and synthetic/recycled materials. Organic shapes and continuous surface
are designed to articulate the concept of movement.
The bridge from
three buildings and entrance on each side of the road provides access to the
school.
Use of innovative
design and materials applied in door and window elements creates an ever-changing surface that
rhythmically expands and contracts. Skylight
reveal its interiors or allow light to flood in, they are
kinetic windows that the blinds can fold upwards acclimated by sunlight at
different times of the day. It can shade against strong sun during afternoon
when there is a lecture and provides adequate day light when needed.
